You might remember that I scored a twin size headboard and foot board from Freecycle a few weeks ago.
Cleaning, painting and sealing the bed went really smoothly and I was dying to show you the new bed. But then I realized that I didn't have the correct bed rails to put it together. Well Amanda from Serenity Now let me know that you can purchase new hook on bedrails from any mattress store. I ordered them online for $34.99 plus delivery. (With two small kids and a tiny CRV I knew I couldn't fit the rails in my car so I splurged on delivery.)
Well THANK YOU Amanda! Here's the fabulous refinished bed. Total cost was about $60 for paint and rails.
The Star Wars bedding is courtesy of a very generous grandma. Darth Vader and a pair of storm troopers doesn't exacty say sweet dreams to me but my four year old loves it!
Thanks for visiting!
