DC Blogger Brunch

My husband has been away on a last minute business trip vacation for a million years 6 days and let's just say mommy is getting a little cranky!  But I wasn't going to let this impromptu trip get in the way of attending the DC Blogger Brunch.  I talked my good friends into watching the kids for a few hours (huge thank you G & T!) and got a much needed break to meet up with local home decor bloggers.

I always enjoy meeting fellow bloggers.  I don't have a lot of friends who have the same love of decorating, thrifting, Craigslist, painting, Craigslist, DIY and did I mention Craigslist as I do.  But when I'm with other home decor bloggers they totally get it!  These are my people!

It was wonderful to get to know to all the bloggers in attendance and I was really excited to meet Cassie and Laurie in person.  I've been stalking them through their blogs for a while now ;)  We talked about Melissa's beautiful home renovation, kids, minivans, the importance of fountain diet coke and drive through windows, blogging tools and Kathy's experience appearing on the Nate Berkus Show.  (so jealous!)

Before I knew it two hours had passed too quickly and I had to leave to pickup the kiddos.  But I didn't leave empty handed.  Cassie was kind enough to make each of us a mustache mug!
