Spring Decorating with White & Natural Tones & Target/West Elm Giveaway from Coupons.com

Today Coupons.com brings you a little Spring decorating inspiration from 15 fantastic Design & DIY bloggers.  One lucky reader will also win a $150 gift card to West Elm or Target from Coupons.com!

If you saw my Spring mantel last week you probably have an idea of the direction I'm going in our family room.  After the color and sparkle of the holidays left this room, I was craving a bright and light space for Spring!

Our brown leather couches are amazing in a family with kids - so easy to wipe down.  But lately I have been feeling like they are just SO DARK.  Like they suck all the light out of the room.  The answer to changing them up was simple though: new throw pillows in cream and tan and white!

So I hopped on Target.com to snatch up some mix and match pillows from the Threshold White and Natural Collection as well as a white and natural woven basket to brighten up the hearth area.  Before checkout I made sure to search Coupons.com for a Target coupon code and found one for free shipping.  I love free shipping - no guilt for shopping at home in your PJs!

Here's how the room came together.  The white, cream and natural accents really brighten up the leather, wood and stone in our family room for a softer feel.
I added a vintage chenille bedspread along with the new pillows as a replacement for our heavy red wool winter throw.  Mixing the texture of the chenille with the basket weave and lacy patterns of the pillows keeps it interesting.
For even more interest I made sure to include gold accents for shine and succulents for a touch of natural greenery.  Thanks to Cassie for this wonderful hand gilded milk glass piece!
To complete the Spring mini-makeover, I also painted and distressed the heavy wood top of our coffee table and swapped out our brown and blue rug for a nubby, natural jute one.
Take a look at the before and after to really understand the change this makeover has wrought in the room.

I have received a Target gift card for this post but all opinions are 100% mine.
